How customers pay — tokenised.

Definition

Per-customer tokenised payment instruments. `card_brand` + `last4` + `exp_*` are the only card fields, all tagged financial-PII; soft-delete via `deleted_at` (staging surfaces `is_active`). Used by every `payments` row to attribute transactions back to a method.

`visa` / `mastercard` / `amex` / `discover` when card; null otherwise. Financial PII.

PII

last4

Last 4 digits of PAN. Quasi-identifier (financial). Null for non-card.

exp_month

Expiry month. Null for non-card.

exp_year

Expiry year. Null for non-card.

is_default

True for the customer's default payment method.

added_at

When the customer added this method.

deleted_at

Soft-delete time. Null while active.

created_at

Row insert timestamp in the source DB.
