Calendar month 1..12. Int16.

First day of the period. Date.

Month bucket — toStartOfMonth(start_date). The join key marts roll up on.
period_status
Close status — open / closed / locked.
period_closed_at
When the period was closed. Nullable.
closed_by_employee_id
FK to the employee who closed the period — actor reference. Nullable.
